Railsport Cycling Road Race – Saturday 10 July 2010

Last year’s event was a great success and attracted a record number of railway entries. As a result we have decided to repeat this format for 2010’s event. Therefore the Railsport Cycling Championship 2010 will be a Road Race only. Thank you once again to the Organiser Scott Holmes for kindly allowing us to incorporate our championship within the following British Cycling event:

Event:        Oakley Village Road Race (Regional A)
Date & Time:        Saturday 10 July 2010 at 14:45hrs
Race HQ:        Oakley Village Hall, Bucks (Near to M40, Between Oxford & Aylesbury)
Distance:        85 km
BC Category:        2/3/4 only (sorry no E or 1 categories)
BC Race Licence required. Day Licence available to purchase at Event Sign On.
Entry Fee:        £13.00 (Cheques payable to Mr S Holmes)
Closing Date:        Closing Date for Railsport Riders 29 May 2010
Entries:        On BC entry form with “RAILSPORT” clearly marked at the top with fee to:
Race Organiser:        Scott Holmes, Blackberry Cottage, 42 Brill Road, OAKLEY, Buckinghamshire, HP18 9QN. Tel 01844 237 933.  e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Further Details:        See British Cycling Calendar of Events and BC website www.britishcycling.org.uk

Please note that entry to Railsport Riders can only be guaranteed if they are received by the closing date of 29 May 2010 (6 weeks prior to the event. Note that this is earlier than the standard 3 week BC closing date). We anticipate this race will be fully subscribed with local riders, so any entries received after this time risk not being able to get in the event.

The event is being held in conjunction with “Oakley Village Day” with other events for family and friends including entertainment, village events, family fun ride and for the more active female partners at 11:20 a Women’s Team Series Road Race.  Please make every effort to support this event.
